Privacy policy

This policy explains what we do with your personal information when you book a transfer, request a quote, or use this website. It applies to Australia Wide Car Services Pty Ltd ABN 22 680 932 003, trading as Sky Transfers.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to drive you somewhere and get you there on time.

• Booking details — your name, mobile number, email address, pick-up and drop-off addresses, date and time, passenger and luggage numbers, and any child seat or accessibility requirements you tell us about.
• Flight and ship details — flight or cruise number and arrival time, so we can track delays and move your pick-up automatically.
• Payment information — processed by Stripe. Card numbers are entered directly into Stripe systems and never pass through or get stored on our website. We receive only a confirmation, the last four digits and the card type.
• Correspondence — emails, WhatsApp messages and phone calls with our office or dispatch, kept so we have a record of what was agreed.
• Website usage — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site, collected through cookies as described below.

You do not have to give us your name, but we cannot complete a booking without contact details and addresses.

Why we use it

• To quote, confirm, schedule and carry out your transfer.
• To give your chauffeur the pick-up address, passenger name and flight number.
• To contact you about your booking, including changes and delays.
• To take payment and issue your GST tax invoice.
• To answer questions, resolve complaints and keep records required by law.
• To understand which parts of our website and advertising are working.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing email unless you have asked for it.

Who we share it with

• Your chauffeur — the driver assigned to your booking receives your name, mobile number, pick-up and drop-off addresses and flight details.
• Stripe — our payment processor, for card payments and refunds.
• Google — Google Maps Places suggests addresses as you type in the booking form, and Google Analytics and Google Ads measure website and advertising performance.
• Affiliated operators — on occasion, where your booking is covered by a vetted partner operator, we pass on only the details needed to complete that trip.
• Your travel agent, employer or DMC — where they made the booking on your behalf, they can see the booking they created.
• Authorities — where we are required to by law.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses cookies for two purposes: keeping the booking form working as you move through it, and measuring traffic and advertising through Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking. These tools tell us how many people booked after seeing an ad; they do not tell us who you are.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The booking form may not work correctly if you block them. You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using the Google opt-out browser add-on.

Where your information is stored

Booking records are held in our booking system and in our email. Some of our service providers, including Stripe and Google, store and process data on servers outside Australia. By using this site and booking with us, you consent to that transfer. We take reasonable steps to ensure those providers protect your information to a standard consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

How long we keep it

Booking and payment records are kept for at least seven years, as required by Australian tax and corporate record-keeping law. Quote enquiries that never became bookings are deleted within two years. Website analytics data is retained on the standard Google retention schedule.

Security

This website is served over HTTPS. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified processor, and are never stored by us. Access to booking records is limited to office staff and dispatch, and chauffeurs receive only the details for their own jobs.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email info@skytransfers.com.au and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always at skytransfers.com.au/privacy.html, with the date it was last changed shown at the top.
