Varsity Lakes is priced the same. Burleigh sits between Palm Beach at $90 and Broadbeach at $110 from Gold Coast Airport — the fares step up as you go north. Larger parties: our 18-seat mini coach is quoted per job — ask on the charter page.

Fifteen minutes, and why that is the point

Burleigh is close enough to Gold Coast Airport that the transfer is over before it starts, and far enough from Brisbane that flying into the wrong airport costs you $160 and an extra hour. If your flights are open, this is a strong argument for OOL.

Coming the other way, a morning departure out of Coolangatta from Burleigh is one of the easier runs on the coast — but we still build the pick-up time back from your check-in cut-off rather than the drive, because the queue at bag drop does not care how close you live.

Boards, bikes and the hill

Burleigh's point break is the reason a lot of these bookings exist, and surfboards travel free of charge where they fit. The honest caveat is that they often do not fit — a longboard or a multi-board bag needs an SUV, a minivan, or the $30 luggage trailer. Tell us what you are bringing when you book and the right vehicle turns up.

The other local detail worth knowing: the streets climbing the headland toward Burleigh Head National Park are narrow, steep and tightly parked. If your accommodation is up there rather than on the Esplanade, give us the building name and number and expect the drop to be at the kerb rather than a driveway.

James Street on a Saturday night is one of the few places on the coast where getting a ride home is genuinely hard, and it is exactly when surge pricing does its work. A pre-booked return is the same $95 to the airport or whatever your suburb's fare is, at any hour, booked days earlier at a price you already know.

Questions

Do you go to Burleigh Waters and Miami too?

Yes — every Gold Coast suburb from Coolangatta to Ormeau is published, and the booking form returns the exact fare for the suburb you enter. All 74 are on the price list.

Is there a charge for an early or late pick-up?

No. The same fare applies at any hour, every day of the year. No surge, no night loading, no public-holiday rate.

Can you fit a family of six with luggage?

A luxury minivan takes up to seven passengers and six bags — $130 from Gold Coast Airport. With prams or boards on top of that, add the trailer for $30 rather than splitting into two cars.

Do you do hinterland runs from here?

Yes. Springbrook and Tamborine Mountain are published fares, and private day tours to both run from anywhere on the coast — see charters and day tours.
