The airport is in Coolangatta, which makes this our shortest run and our cheapest fare — $80 in a sedan, for the whole car. From Brisbane it is $280, and that gap is worth knowing before you book flights.

Tugun, Bilinga and Currumbin are priced identically — they are the other suburbs that sit alongside the runway. Larger parties: our 18-seat mini coach is quoted per job — ask on the charter page.
Coolangatta is the clearest case on the whole price list. The airport is in the suburb, so the transfer is $80. The same journey from Brisbane Airport is $280, because it is a two-hour drive down the M1 and back along the coast.
If your flights are not booked, that $200 difference is worth more than most fare savings you will find comparing airlines. If they are already booked into Brisbane, the run is still a published fare rather than something you negotiate on arrival.
A short transfer is not a pointless one. People ask why book a car for a ten-minute drive. Because at 11pm with three bags and a tired child, ten minutes of certainty beats twenty minutes in a rank, and the fare is fixed either way.
The Queensland–New South Wales border runs through Coolangatta — cross Boundary Street and you are in Tweed Heads. Nothing about that costs you anything on a transfer, and there is no fee or vehicle change.
What it does affect is the time. From early October to early April, New South Wales observes daylight saving and Queensland does not, so Tweed Heads runs an hour ahead of Coolangatta despite being a few hundred metres away. We schedule against your flight time in the airport's own clock, which is the safe way round — but if you are giving us a pick-up time from a Tweed address in summer, say which clock you mean. It is the single most common timing mix-up on this stretch of coast.
Snapper Rocks, Greenmount and Kirra are why a lot of people fly into this airport, and boards travel free where they fit. A shortboard will usually go in an SUV or minivan; a longboard or a multi-board bag will not. Add the $30 luggage trailer and tell us what is coming, so the right vehicle turns up rather than a car with a problem.
For the vehicle, one way, GST included, one to three passengers in a sedan. There is no surge, no night rate and no minimum-fare top-up on short runs.
Yes, both are published fares. Byron Bay and its district are too — $220 from Gold Coast Airport. See Byron Bay transfers.
Closer than anywhere else on the coast, but we will still recommend a time built back from your check-in cut-off rather than from the drive. Being five minutes from the terminal does not shorten the bag drop queue.
Yes. Tweed Heads and the NSW side are published fares in both directions, and the summer timezone difference is worth confirming when you book.
Flight tracked, met inside arrivals with a name board, 30 minutes of free waiting after you land. Free to change up to 24 hours before pick-up.
